Weasel rase, (Viverricula malaccensis) is a type of small carnivore in the Viverridae tribe. This animal is widespread in South and Southeast Asia. Known in English as a small Indian civet, this species is the only member of the Viverricula clan. Weasel rase is recorded to inhabit deciduous and semi-ever-green forests, mixed deciduous forests, bamboo forests, scrub forests, grasslands, and riparian areas. Weasel rase with medium body, head and body length 540-630 mm, while tails are 300-430 mm. The tail is stranded with 6-9 black and white rings, with the tip always white. The feet are relatively short, 85–100 mm from the 'heel' to the tip of the finger. Body weight between 2-4 kg.
